High Impact Tutoring

The "Bridging Academic Gaps" initiative is a collaborative effort between Dr. Lena Edwards Academic Charter School, and Huntington Learning Centers, a leading, nationwide tutoring service provider.

This innovative program aims to provide targeted academic support to low-achieving students in grades three and four, with services also to grades 5-8, enhancing their educational experience and academic outcomes. The New Jersey Learning Acceleration Program: High-Impact Tutoring Grant will support third and fourth-grade students who are struggling to meet grade-level expectations in core subjects such as ELA and math. The projected outcomes are to move the lowest achieving students from below grade level ten or more percent towards grade level proficiency. By servicing the larger community, we also ensure equitable access and participation.
