At DLEACS, our top priority is the safety, well-being, and education of every child in our care. We recognize that recent concerns regarding immigration enforcement have caused anxiety for some of our families. We want to reassure you that our school is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all students, regardless of their immigration status.

As part of our commitment, we have clear protocols if immigration officials (ICE) come to our school. These protocols ensure that:

1. ICE officials will not be granted access to students or student records without a valid judicial warrant that our legal counsel has reviewed.

2. Our staff is trained to follow legal guidelines while prioritizing student safety and privacy.

3. We will immediately notify our district leadership and legal team to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.

4. We will provide support services, including counseling and legal resource referrals, to any students or families in need.

We understand this issue may be a source of concern, and we want to assure you that DLEACS stands with our students and families.
