Black History Month Program

Black History Month

DLEACS celebrates Black History Month! The annual Black History Month program aims to promote awareness and appreciation for diversity by creating informative and fun programming for both students and staff.  Students celebrate by giving a choral performance, reciting poetry, and presenting artistic dances. This year's unique set of programming focuses on the inspirational tenets of community and leadership.

A special note of thanks goes to teachers and staff who gave a performance and dressed in traditional African clothing to show support for the annual assembly. DLEACS programming empowers students to achieve academic and personal excellence so that they may become leaders in their families and communities.

A huge thanks goes to DLEACS' guidance counselor, Ms. Whyte for organizing the annual celebration.
