It is a new school year and at Dr. Lena Edwards Academic Charter School's Back to School night, the halls were aflutter with activity. DLEACS staff and faculty were on hand to introduce themselves and their curriculum to students and families alike. Aside from a full STEAM-based curriculum, innovative technology for students like iReady is rolling out this fall alongside Google classroom. Both programs were initated last year. DLEACS' partnership with St. Peter's University for our 21st Century Learning Center afterschool program gets underway in October. New initiatives like Playworks, an inclusive play curriculum that offers teaches leadership skills through its social-emotional learning will support the school ordered day.
