Black History Month Program

Alicia Henry and Dancers

DLEACS celebrates Black History Month! The annual Black History Month program aims to promote awareness and appreciation for diversity by creating informative and fun programming for both students and staff. Students celebrate by giving a choral performance, reciting poetry, and presenting artistic dances. This year's programming focuses on the inspirational tenets of leadership, specifically that of Kobe Bryant.

A special acknowledgment goes to teachers and staff who dressed in traditional African clothing to show support for the annual assembly. DLEACS programming empowers students to achieve academic and personal excellence so that they may become leaders in their families and communities.
Thanks go to Ms. Wright and teachers who organized student performances. A huge thanks go to DLEACS' Mr. P., who provided many of the musical selections for our performing students.

Please see the photos of the assembly here.
