Music education at DLEACS is a vital aspect of our successful school curriculum.Our school offers music apprecation to all kindergarten through elementary school age children. Band is offered to students in grades five through eight. Children perform in concerts, at community functions and festivals throughout the year.

Music programs increase children’s cognitive development. Students who are actively involved in music programs are equipped to make better lifestyle choices since they have a strong foundational knowledge of their abilities as well as a greater self-esteem due to their well-rounded education. As educators of children, we recognize that it is essential to teach each child as a whole, and that in order for a student to learn best, a school’s curriculum must acknowledge children’s multiple intelligences—such as those in the Arts.
